Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Welligo Inc. ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information from users of wellensteyn-canada.com (the "Site"). We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian privacy legislation.

Information we collect

Personal information you provide: when you place an order, create an account, contact us or fill in a form, we may collect your name, e-mail address, shipping and billing address, phone number and payment details. Payment card data is processed by our payment provider (Shopify Payments) and is not stored on our servers.

Information collected automatically: browser type, device, IP address, pages visited and similar technical data, collected through cookies and similar technologies. You may set your browser to refuse cookies; some parts of the Site may then not function properly.

How we use your information

  • to process and deliver your orders, and to communicate with you about them (order confirmation, shipping updates);
  • to provide customer service and handle returns and exchanges;
  • to operate and improve the Site and our services;
  • to comply with legal obligations and to prevent fraud.

Sharing your information

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Site and fulfil your orders — for example our e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment processor (Shopify Payments), shipping carriers and e-mail service providers — and only to the extent necessary for those purposes. These providers may store data outside Canada (including in the United States and the European Union), where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Store map (Google Maps)

The map on our Stores page is provided by Google Maps (Google LLC). It is loaded only after you click Show map. When you do so, your browser connects to Google’s servers and your IP address and technical browser data are transmitted to Google, which may process them outside Canada (including in the United States). Your choice is remembered only for your current browsing session. Google’s privacy policy applies to that processing: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

How we protect your information

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. Data exchanged with the Site is encrypted (SSL/TLS).

Retention

We keep your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above and as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records).

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or withdraw your consent, by contacting our privacy contact below. We will respond within the time required by law.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
